Meta runs its own list of known disposable-email domains across both Facebook and Instagram, and it's a moving target — new temp mail providers spin up domains, Meta flags them, providers rotate again. If a signup silently fails or a code never sends, it's almost always this domain check, not a problem with the account or the timing of the attempt. Switching to a different address type usually clears it immediately.

Why the Gmail/Outlook-style address is the better default here

Speed and the batch-signup trap

Facebook's verification codes are short-lived, typically a handful of minutes — check a provider's delivery speed before relying on it for a real testing workflow. Separately, firing off several signups back-to-back from the same device or network pattern is a bulk-account-creation signal to Meta's systems, and tripping it can flag the whole batch, not just the account that triggered it. Space test signups out by a few minutes each.
