Anti-Spam Policy
zephbox is built to receive disposable mail, not to send unsolicited mail. Here's what that means in practice.
Why this policy exists
Premium's email-forwarding feature relays incoming mail to a real inbox you specify. Any feature that sends mail on a user's behalf is a potential open-relay/spam vector if left unchecked, so forwarding is rate-limited per account and monitored for abuse — this isn't optional hardening, it's a condition of the feature existing at all.
What counts as abuse
Using zephbox addresses, the API, or forwarding to send unsolicited bulk mail, phishing content, malware, or to harvest other people's contact information is prohibited and will result in account suspension. This applies equally to free and Premium accounts.
Rate limits are not arbitrary
Forwarding, alias creation, and API calls are all capped per account/device. These limits exist specifically to keep the service usable for everyone and to keep our sending domains in good standing with mail providers — a single abusive account getting our infrastructure blocklisted would degrade deliverability for every other user. Limits are enforced automatically and may be adjusted without notice if abuse patterns change.
We don't sell or share your data for marketing
Email addresses and account information are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. See Security & Privacy for the full data-handling policy.
Reporting abuse
If you believe a zephbox address or forwarded message was used to send you spam or abusive content, use the contact form with as much detail as possible (headers, sending address, timestamps) so we can investigate.
